WHAT IS TRUE JOY?AND HOW CAN YOU ACTUALLY LIVE IT IN YOUR LIFE?

It is not about always feeling happy or about only thinking positive thoughts. It is not about pushing away the pain or discomfort, and only embracing feelings that you prefer. It is not about pushing through or forcing. It is not about plastering a fake smile on your face, and trying desperately to pretend that you are not falling apart.

Real joy is is effortless. It takes no effort to be what you already are. Your true nature is joy. It is lightness. It is aliveness. It is simplicity. It is freedom. It is presence. All these are words for who you really are, beyond what you think or feel about yourself. But it is not only about knowing conceptually that you are joy, but also experiencing joy in your daily life.

Most of the time we are believing that what our thoughts say, must be true. We believe that there is something wrong, or a problem, or we blame ourselves or others for this or that... We are focused on some kind of complication, or what is missing, or that we think we are worthless...

There are so many ways that our thoughts, when believed, keep us small, and suppress our natural joy. I am not suggesting you start to change your thoughts to more positive thoughts, but instead that you notice the space that is beyond all thoughts. This space is here always.

And it is from this space that you can simply feel what is real and actually present. It is from this space that you are unprotected and can feel touched by life. You open yourself to the pain, grief and heartbreak of life. You lose your armour that keeps you separate and isolated from life. And as these boundaries and limitations start to dissolve, more and more, your heart opens wide to include it all.

When you can see that you are not the limiting beliefs and identities that you have taken yourself to be, then there can be the space for the true joy that you are, to overflow into expression. This expression doesn't have to look, or feel a certain way. It is free to overflow in any form. It is alive and real. In one moment it could overflow into some kind of weird movement. In another moment, a quiet sensation of warmth in the chest. In another moment it could be laughter. In another moment, tears...

When our hearts are touched by life, without the armour or filter of our thoughts and beliefs about how we should feel, behave, or what any of it means, there is a free-flow of raw alive feeling and expression.

Our hearts are broken open and the alive joy pours in, out, and all about...
