Life is inherently uncertain, and the mind scrambles for control. This meeting is about welcoming that trembling aliveness instead of resisting it—and seeing what happens when we stop running from anxiety.

There seems to be a a great misunderstanding about what spiritual awakening is. Usually people somehow believe that when they are awakened, then they won't feel pain and heartbreak and suffering, that they will be beyond it all. But actually the reality of awakening is that it is the opposite. It is about embracing it all. Meeting it all. Meeting whatever is here just the way it is simply because it is here. because it is arising in who I am as life itself.

This is why grief actually is a a beautiful doorway to awakening because as our heart breaks open, we lose whatever we thought we had, whoever we thought we were. We lose the ground under our feet.

And this is the invitation of grief.
