I am Life Itself

‘Recognition of Life as it is, is recognition of what is already and has always been: not-knowing. This is what I am. Absolutely innocent not knowing. In not-knowing there is no doubt. In not-knowing there is absolute clarity. Simply the direct recognition of what is. This is what I am. I am Life itself.’

‘Life is. There is no one living it. It is not ‘my life’. There is no ‘me’ that lives. But I am Life. This ‘I’ is not a personalised ‘me’. It is not an assumed separate person. There is no implied separation between the writer and the reader. This ‘I’ is ‘you’. This ‘I’ is all that is. I am Life itself.’

‘These words are not pointing to anything new. In fact what is being expressed here is timeless. It has always been known. It is known. It is most familiar and ordinary. It is what I am.’

‘Life is so simple. So ordinary. The recognition of Life’s ordinariness is what some people call Enlightenment or Liberation. These are really fancy names for what is so ordinary and has always been known.’

‘It seems extraordinarily arrogant to actually say that I am already all that I seek to become. Nearly everyone is searching for something or trying to improve themselves in some way, that it seems unbelievable that I could say that I’m absolutely perfect just like this. What I am is absolutely fulfilled and has never been touched by any notion that I’m not.’

‘In what I am there is no box. There is no safety. Everything is exposed. There is no definable box of a character. Anything can happen. Sitting with eyes closed can happen or bursting into tears can happen. Nothing is more significant than anything else. There is simply what happens. There are no rules. There are no limits.’

‘Thoughts seem to hide and control. Words protect and defend. What is there to hide from? Not knowing? Never finding the answer.’

‘Recognition is a leap beyond concepts. Beyond belief. Beyond what has always been assumed. It is a leap into the unknown. It is a leap into what has always been known but simply overlooked.’

‘Maturity is recognising that there is no authority. There is no one that knows. The truth is that no one knows anything. Only in not knowing, this is all known.’

‘This is not going anywhere. This is the beginning and the end. This is it. There is nothing more or less. This is the whole of Life and Death. There is no journey. This is it. There is nowhere else. This has always been it. There never has been a past and will never be a future. This is all that has ever been longed for. This is it.’
