About the Journey

Grief takes everything from you. It takes the ground from beneath your feet, it takes the future you thought you knew, it takes the person you thought you were.

This journey is not about escaping grief or finding a way back to who you used to be. It is about daring to stay. To meet the emptiness. To let yourself be undone.

In that undoing, something vast is revealed. A silence that holds it all. A love that has no end. This is the awakening that grief points to.

In our modern culture, we are usually left alone and isolated with our grief. It is considered socially unacceptable or a burden on others. In this journey together, we acknowledge that grief is a normal, ordinary part of life, and more than that, it is a gift that can open our hearts to who we truly are.

Over six weeks together, we sit together with the ache. We breathe with it. We let it strip us bare. And in that bareness, we discover the presence of what is beyond loss and everything else.

Join the Journey

Grief often arrives as an unwelcome guest, shattering our sense of stability and breaking apart the familiar patterns of life. Yet within its heaviness, grief can also act as a profound doorway to spiritual awakening. When we meet grief, the illusion of permanence is stripped from us. In that rawness, the heart is forced to confront truths it may have ignored: that life is fleeting, that control is fragile, and that love extends beyond what can be held physically.

Walking through grief often reveals hidden depths of compassion, humility, and connection. It can dissolve the walls of the ego, softening us to the mystery that underlies existence. Many spiritual traditions speak of loss as a teacher—one that brings us face to face with impermanence, teaching us to live more fully in the present moment.Though painful, grief can widen the heart’s capacity to love and to perceive the sacred in everyday life. What begins as a breaking can become an opening—a threshold into a deeper awareness of life, death, and the timeless essence that we are.

This journey is suitable for anyone navigating loss—whether from the death of a loved one, the ending of a relationship, life transitions, deep personal change, or even the grief of what is happening in the world or to nature.

We all have to meet grief in our lives, no matter what our situation is. The sooner we make friends with grief, the better.

Why This Journey?

When grief comes, it feels like everything is lost. But grief is not here to destroy you. It is here to show you what you truly are.

This journey is not here to fix you. It is a sacred space to meet what is already alive in you—to let grief open the doorway to the truth of who you are.

The Six Gatherings

Week 1: Entering the Threshold

We begin by simply being here. No fixing. No running. Just honoring what is. Grief can feel overwhelming and disorienting, but it begins with acknowledgment. What is grief and why do we honour it?

Week 2: Listening to the Heart

Grief speaks its own language —through tears, heaviness, silence, or other emotions. This week is about listening deeply to what your heart is saying. By connecting with the body and emotions through guided meditations, gentle movement, and expressive writing, you begin to see grief not as an enemy to suppress but as a messenger guiding you toward growth and understanding.

Week 3: Impermanence as a Teacher

Whether we like it or not, everything falls away. Everything changes. In this losing and letting go, what is always present and unchanging is revealed. In this session, we explore impermanence not as a threat, but as the most profound teacher.

Week 4: Cracked Open

We lose everything we thought we knew and who we thought we were, and the heart breaks open and open. And in this breaking, there is vastness, compassion, and love beyond measure. This session focuses on how heart break is also living with an open heart and can deepen compassion—for yourself and others.

Week 5: Meeting the Sacred

Although we grieve our personal losses, it is through this limited personal doorway that opens up a gateway to the vast energy of oneness, love and gratitude. We bow to the mystery that holds us. In this session we explore what we are grateful for and how grief is also a gift that can continue to open us to the sacred.

Week 6: Living the Awakening

Grief does not leave us. But we learn to walk with it as a companion, a guide, a doorway into life itself. In the final session, we focus on integration—how to live alongside grief with awareness, empathy and compassion.  You will reflect the journey, we explore how by finding ways to continue tending our grief, we create a companion to move with, offering insight and deeper connection to life.

This is For You If…

You are grieving and feel lost, broken, or tender

You are longing to awaken out of brokenness

You want to rest in what is real, beyond ideas of “moving on”

You are ready to let grief show you who you really are

About Unmani

Unmani is not speaking about grief as an idea, but from the depths of her own lived experience. When her beloved husband died suddenly, her whole world shattered. In the rawness of that heartbreak, she discovered that grief was not only devastation, but also a doorway into the vast love and presence beyond it all.

For over 20 years, she has been holding groups and individuals in this same tender space—pointing them back to what is real, alive, and unbroken, even in the midst of loss. She does not offer a way to “get over” grief, but invites you to rest in it, to allow it to open you, and to discover the sacredness already here.
